FEEDBACK

Week 1: Mr. Razif mentioned that our three ideas are not well-developed and seem too shallow. He advised us to take a deeper look at them and put more thought into refining and strengthening them. Instead of keeping them as they are, we need to explore each idea further, adding more details and substance to make them more meaningful and impactful.

Additionally, he pointed out that our key propositions are not strong enough and need to be reworked. We should take the time to reconsider and restructure them so that they clearly explain the purpose and value of our project.

Moreover, he emphasized the importance of discussing our main features in greater detail. We need to go beyond just listing them and instead ensure that each feature is well thought out, relevant, and contributes to the overall success of our project. By improving our ideas, refining our key propositions, and carefully shaping our main features, we can create a more solid and effective proposal.

Week 2: Our supervisor mentioned that we still need to finalize our idea and clearly define our concept before moving forward. He emphasized the importance of understanding why users would choose to download our Pawfect app over other similar apps. We need to think carefully about what makes our app unique and valuable to potential users.

Other than that, he pointed out that we should identify and refine our key selling points, which are the features or aspects of Pawfect that will attract and engage users. These selling points should highlight what sets our app apart and why it would be beneficial for pet owners. Furthermore, we need to have a discussion on how we plan to implement the 3D avatar feature in our app.

Week 3: Mr. Razif guided us in modifying our online survey questions to make them more effective. He also suggested adding more questions specifically related to virtual adoption to gather better insights from our target audience. This will help us understand user preferences and expectations regarding this feature in our Pawfect app.

In addition, he emphasized the importance of refining our how might we statement. We need to carefully think about how to frame this statement in a way that clearly defines the problem we are addressing. It should be structured as a question, allowing us to explore different solutions and approaches that can improve the user experience. Taking the time to craft a well-thought-out how might we statement will help us stay focused on our goal and create a more meaningful impact with our app.

Week 4: We reviewed our interview questions and received positive feedback, stating that they were well structured and thoughtfully designed. The feedback highlighted that having two sets of questions, one for individuals with adoption experience and another for those who have never adopted a pet, was an effective approach. This ensured that our questions were relevant to each group's experiences and perspectives.

Additionally, our how might we statement was approved, confirming that it effectively addresses the problem we are focusing on. Moving forward, he will also review our data analysis from the survey later this week.

Week 5: Mr. Razif mentioned that we need to redo our user journey map because it is not aligned with our reference app. He emphasized that the user journey map should be based on user personas and the features of the pet adoption app. This means we need to ensure that the journey accurately reflects how different types of users would interact with the app and experience its key features. By making these adjustments, we can create a more realistic and user-centered journey that enhances the overall usability and effectiveness of our app.

Week 6: Mr. Razif reviewed our architecture site map, user flow chart and card sorting. He said that everything looks good and that we can proceed with developing our wireframe. He also mentioned that if we have any doubts or need further clarification about the wireframe, we can reach out to Dr. Wong for guidance. This gives us the confidence to move forward with the next stage of our final task while ensuring that we have support if needed.

REFLECTION

Throughout this module, I have developed a deeper understanding of the design process, user research, and project development. Each stage of the project has challenged me to think critically and refine my approach. From brainstorming initial ideas to finalizing our wireframe, I have learned the importance of iteration and continuous improvement. The feedback from Mr. Razif helped me realize the significance of clearly defining concepts, strengthening key propositions, and ensuring that our app features are well thought out and user-centered.

One of the most valuable lessons I learned was the importance of user research in shaping design decisions. By conducting surveys and interviews, we gathered meaningful insights that guided the development of our app. Crafting well-structured survey questions and refining our "how might we" statement allowed us to focus on the core problem and explore innovative solutions. Additionally, aligning the user journey map with user personas and app features highlighted the necessity of designing experiences that cater to different user needs and expectations.

As we progressed to the wireframing stage, I realized the significance of creating a well-structured architecture site map, user flow chart, and card sorting to ensure a seamless user experience. Receiving approval for these elements gave us confidence in our approach. Presenting our final project was a valuable opportunity to reflect on our progress and communicate our design decisions effectively. This module has been an enriching experience, equipping me with essential skills in research, problem-solving, and user-centered design that I will carry forward into future projects.
