Proposal

Progress

My group member and I decided to create a stop motion video of aluminium foil puppet. We had a discussion of the story synopsis together. After discussing all the storyline and sketching the storyboard, we started shooting with phone using stop motion app. We used aluminium foil, crayons and paper to prepare all the materials.

4. Editing

My groupmate and I use phone with stop motion app to shoot our final project. There are 416 images in total. We imported the images into Adobe Premiere Pro for editing.

Figure 7: JPEG Sequence

We adjusted the speed of few images to make the video smoother. Then, we imported our background music into Premiere Pro to fit with the sequences.

Also, we imported all the sound effects into Premiere Pro. There are 6 tracks in total of this final project. We added the sound effects of dog barking, knocking the table, switching on the light, girl shocked, miracle effect, writing and many more......

REFLECTION

Creating a stop-motion was a deeply enriching and great experience that enhanced my skills in shooting, planning, and technical editing. From the initial concept development and storyboarding to the intricate setup of sets and characters, each stage demanded creativity, patience, and attention to detail. Capturing each frame with consistent lighting and camera positioning taught me the importance of incremental movements and frame rates for smooth animation. Editing the frames, adding sound effects, and synchronizing audio brought the stop motion to life. This project underscored the value of perseverance, creativity, and teamwork, providing a comprehensive understanding of the complexities and rewards of stop-motion.
